I'm returning to blogging after a considerable hiatus. I've recently become interested in photography, and my goal is to structure my blog around photos that I've taken. So, the first challenge is where to start?
I'm going back to a fluke shot, taken at Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park very early on July 12 1990. I had to wake up early to strike camp and catch a ride to the train - the Empire Builder - to get to Chicago. I was travelling across the USA on an AMTRAK rail pass - a great bargain. Wonderful time! The photo was taken with an old point and press camera, developed to film, sat in a pile of photos for a long time - until I scanned it about five years ago. I might attack it with some image editing software at some point.
